An intergalactic badass will eventually be coming to Shudder... ...Via Deadline, RLJE Films and Shudder have acquired the rights to director Steven Kostanski's (The Void) upcoming ultra-gory flick, Psycho Goreman! The film was originally supposed to play at SXSW, but thanks to the pandemic, that was cancelled. In Psycho Goreman: "Siblings Mimi and Luke unwittingly resurrect an ancient alien overlord. Using a magical amulet, they force the monster to obey their childish whims, and accidentally attract a rogues' gallery of intergalactic assassins to small-town suburbia." Said Emily Gotto, Shudder’s director of global acquisitions & co-productions, it is “the feel-good splatterfest we need right now. Brimming with blood and charm, PG proves Steven Kostanski’s imagination is unstoppable and we’re thrilled for Shudder members to meet the monsters, and especially, Mimi.” The film stars Nita-Josée Hanna, Owen Myre, Matthew Ninaber, Adam Brooks, Alexis Hancey, Kristen MacCulloch and Steven Vlahos. RLJE Films is planning a late theatrical release for the film, while Psycho Goreman should be releasing on Shudder in early 2021. By Matt Konopka
