 Everyone knows the name Shirley Jackson... ...Neon has released a trailer for director Josephine Decker's Shirley, a film based on the life of Shirley Jackson, author of The Haunting of Hill House and many other great works, and starring Elisabeth Moss (The Invisible Man) as the titular author! In Shirley, written by Sarah Gubbins and based on the novel by Susan Scarf Merrell: "Renowned horror writer Shirley Jackson is on the precipice of writing her masterpiece when the arrival of newlyweds upends her meticulous routine and heightens tensions in her already tempestuous relationship with her philandering husband. The middle-aged couple, prone to ruthless barbs and copious afternoon cocktails, begins to toy mercilessly with the naïve young couple at their door." The film also stars Logan Lerman, Michael Stuhlbarg, Odessa Young and Steve Vinovich. Watch the trailer below, and see the film when it becomes available everywhere June 5th from Neon.
