This is a pair of jeans with a killer fit... ...Shudder has released a trailer for director Elza Kephart's (Go In The Wilderness, Graveyard Alive) upcoming horror comedy Slaxx, and it's guaranteed to split your sides! Our own Wren Crain reviewed Slaxx out of Fantasia 2020 and described it as a "fast-paced and enjoyable watch" with "buckets of blood and impressive gore". You can read Wren's review here. In Slaxx, written by Kephart and Patricia Gomez (Graveyard Alive): "A possessed pair of jeans is brought to life to punish the unscrupulous practices of a trendy clothing company. Shipped to the company’s flagship store, Slaxx proceeds to wreak carnage on staff locked in overnight to set up the new collection." The film stars Romane Denis (Slut in a Good Way), Brett Donahue (Private Eyes), Sehar Bhojani (The Handmaid’s Tale), and Stephen Bogaert (The Umbrella Academy). It was produced by Gomez alongside Anne-Marie Gélinas (Turbo Kid, Radius), and executive produced by Shaked Berenson (Turbo Kid, Entertainment). Blood Brothers FX, the special effects company behind Turbo Kid, Blood Quantum, and Ravenous, brought the unique titular villain to life, and Canadian sustainable and premium denim brand Naked & Famous designed and manufactured the jeans. Slaxx is an EMAFilms and Horror Collective production. Slaxx comes exclusively to Shudder on March 18th in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, as well as via the Shudder offering within the AMC+ bundle where available. By Matt Konopka
