Organized religion will never not be ripe for a good horror story. Looks like A24 agrees, as a trailer has dropped for their upcoming film, Saint Maud, and it looks wild...

...Making her feature debut with the horror flick is writer/director Rose Glass. A24 has become known for its religious leaning horror, such as The Witch, Hereditary, Midsommar, and Saint Maud will join the list when it releases on March 27th, 2020, in limited theaters, before seeing a larger expansion, similar to the studio's recent release, The Lighthouse.

In Saint Maud:
Maud (Morfydd Clark), a newly devout hospice nurse, becomes obsessed with saving her dying patient’s soul — but sinister forces, and her own sinful past, threaten to put an end to her holy calling."
The trailer below reveals a film that frankly looks insane, with a powerful performance from Clark. Self-mutilation, religious fanaticism, and Maud's belief that she is doing the work of God (or something else) have this one looking like something you won't want to miss in March.

Saint Maud also stars Jennifer Ehle, Lilly Frazer, Lily Knight, Marcus Hutton, Turlough Convery, and Rosie Sansom.
