[Trailer] 'Vivarium' Traps Jesse Eisenberg and Imogen Poots In An Ordinary Hell

For many of us, one of the true horrors of life is ordinary adulthood, and I can't recall a film that looks to capture that as well as Vivarium...

...Directed by Lorcan Finnegan and written by Garret Shanley, Saban Films has released the first trailer for Vivarium, which stars Jesse Eisenberg and Imogen Poots as a couple who finds themselves literally trapped in the horror of every day life. 

In Vivarium: 

"During their search for the perfect home, Gemma (Poots) and Tom (Eisenberg) find themselves trapped in a mysterious labyrinth-like suburban neighborhood named Yonder. All attempts to escape end in failure, culminating in the discovery of a baby with the instructions 'raise the child and be released'.

Just from watching the trailer below, Vivarium appears to perfectly capture the fear many of us have of becoming stuck in a rut while society forces us to live the standard life of buying a house, getting married and raising kids, all set to a bizarre style that makes me think of Wes Anderson if he made a twisted horror film. 

Vivarium releases in UK and Irish cinemas/digital on March 27th, 2020.
