One of the best zombie films of the last decade is getting a theatrical re-release with extended footage... ...If you ask someone what some of the best zombie films of the last decade are, most likely, director Sang-ho Yeon's Train to Busan is going to be at or at least near the top of that list. An action packed, terrifying and, most importantly, wholly human story, Train wowed audiences all over the world. Now, according to our friends at Bloody Disgusting, it looks like the film is getting a theatrical re-release with extended footage ahead of the debut of the upcoming sequel, Peninsula! Via the site, the extended footage will offer clues and secrets that tie directly into Peninsula, which will release later in the year from Well Go USA. For those that haven't seen it, in Train to Busan: "While a zombie virus breaks out in South Korea, passengers struggle to survive on the train from Seoul to Busan." Those who are able to see the re-release will also be able to experience Train to Busan in 4DX beginning July 1st. Check out the trailer for the re-release below, and for anyone looking for a refresher or that wants to watch it for the first time can find Train to Busan streaming in the U.S. on Prime, Shudder, Netflix, Vudu and Tubi.
