Treasure Trove of Images for 'Underwater' Unleashed

I will always be the first person to advocate for more underwater horror films, and 20th Century Fox has released a batch of new images for Underwater that has me holding my breath in anticipation for the film's premiere in January...

...The film is directed by William Eubank (The Signal 2014), with a script by Brian Duffield (The Babysitter) and Adam Cozad (The Legend of Tarzan). 20th Century Fox's Underwater stars Kristen Stewart and, like most underwater horror films, appears to be heavily inspired by Ridley Scott's Alien, in following the standard "crew of about seven people in alien setting encounter monsters" plot. And I'm more than okay with that. 

In Underwater:

"A crew of aquatic researchers work to get to safety after an earthquake devastates their subterranean laboratory. But the crew has more than the ocean seabed to fear."

Underwater also stars T.J. Miller, Jessica Henwick, Vincent Cassel, John Gallagher Jr., Mamoudou Athie and Gunner Wright. 

Check out the photos below, which feature a variety of behind the scenes shots, as well as various images of Stewart channeling her inner Ellen Ripley. Personally, I can't wait to see her kick monster ass when Underwater swims into theaters January 10th, 2020.
