'Unfriended' Director Producing Feature Adaptation of Terrifying SXSW Short, 'Don't Peek'!

I cannot comfortably play Animal Crossing ever again...

...KHC has learned that director Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Unfriended), will be producing a feature-length adaptation of Julian Terry’s short horror film Don't Peek, which has just premiered at SXSW! And let me tell you, it is a terrifying film involving the game Animal Crossing, of all things. 

In the short, Don't Peek:

"A young woman discovers a frightening video game character intent on crossing into the real world."

Majd Nassif will be producing under Bekmambetov’s production banner Bazelevs. Creative executive Pavel Bozhkov will oversee the project.
