 No, Don't Go in the Water is not a sequel to Creature from the Black Lagoon, but it is a new aquatic horror flick from Universal, which is exciting enough by itself... ...Via Variety, Universal Studios has brought on HBO's Watchmen series director Stephen Williams to helm Don't Go in the Water, a new underwater creature feature! While we don't have any details on the script, it was written by Peter Gaffney (Aaahh!!! Real Monsters) and is described as a "suspenseful monster movie". Consider us sold, as horror fans can never have too many aquatic monster movies to dive into. Shawn Levy and Dan Levine (Stranger Things) are producing Don’t Go in the Water for 21 Laps Entertainment, along with Adam Kolbrenner for Lit Entertainment Group. Adam Rodin will executive produce.
