![]() Of horror records that are a must-own, this new release from Waxwork Records may top the list... ...Waxwork Records has announced that they will be reissuing the soundtrack for John Carpenter's The Thing, along with Lost Cues: The Thing, which features unreleased musical cues from the sci-fi horror masterpiece! The Thing soundtrack features original musical by master composer Ennio Morricone, while The Lost Cues: The Thing contains compositions from John Carpenter, Cody Carpenter, and Daniel Davies, which will be housed in a slipcase featuring new artwork by Phantom City Creative. Both will release on a 180 gram vinyl. Said director John Carpenter, “Ennio Morricone composed the magnificent score for my movie 'THE THING'. Because we weren’t finished editing the movie, Ennio had to score without seeing a complete picture. When we put everything together, there were gaps dramatically where I would have wanted music. So I went off and scored a couple of simple pieces that filled in.” Both vinyls are set to ship on May 5th, 2020. You can pre-order them here, either individually or together in an awesome package to keep you warm during these strange times! By Matt Konopka
