During lockdown, we've all been binging new horror films and beloved favorites, including "guilty pleasures"... ...Honestly, I'm not a fan of the "guilty pleasure" phrase, because it implies I should feel guilty about loving the hell out of movies like Demon Wind or Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2. But you know what? I don't, because they entertain the crap out of me! Regardless, James Cameron, the masterful director behind such films as The Terminator and Aliens, recently spoke with Empire Magazine and revealed the horror film that he considers a guilty pleasure and has been watching lately. So, what is that film? None other than Paul W.S. Anderson's 2002 Resident Evil adaptation! Cameron told the site, "One of my guilty-pleasure films that I actually think is quite beautifully made is 'Resident Evil'...Watching Michelle Rodriguez in that film, moving like this feral creature, is joyful.” Rodriguez, by the way, is in Cameron's Avatar franchise. So, the next time someone says Resident Evil isn't very good, fans can defend their love of the film with, "well, James Cameron loves it..." By Matt Konopka
